Sea freight is a safe and secure way of transport between continents. We recommend sea transport if you focus on total costs rather than speed. Furthermore, transport by sea is the best solution when importing or exporting goods as heavy machinery and production plants.

To facilitate your planning, we have sailing schedules for destinations in the Far East to Europe – and as part of our service we will assist you with the planning of your shipment to ensure your goods arrive at the desired time.

Our import and export services

We offer both import and export sea freight services. Our import department ships goods for the retail industry along with cargo for the wind turbine and automotive industry from all over the world. In turn, the export department sends machinery, production plants and Danish design such as furniture and interior decoration to overseas destinations.

Hyper Logistics’ sea freight department offers:

There are many papers that need to be sent in connection with sea freight. We have the expertise to help you with, as follows:

  • BAF (Bunker Adjustment Factor) – Oil surcharge used by the shipping companies to offset potentially high oil prices. BAF is calculated monthly.
  • CAF (Currency Adjustment Factor) – Exchange surcharge used to offset the potential currency depreciation of the currency of the main freight.
  • GRI (General Rate Increase) – Planned increase in a base rate from a certain date.
  • PSS (Peak season surcharge).

Bill of Lading (B/L)

  • Way Bill/Express Bill/Surrender Bill
    The recipient can use this document to get his cargo without having to produce the original Bill of Lading.
  • Original Bill of Lading
    Document that has to be presented before the goods can be delivered.

As a rule, the following documents are required for clearing goods through customs on arrival to the destination:

  • Cover letter to customs
  • Packing list
  • Certificate of Origin (C/O) – if required
  • GSP Certificate – if required
  • Packing Declaration – if required
  • Import Licence – if required
  • Other documents that may be applicable depending on goods or destination.

We offer global-wide transport insurance of goods through our valued insurance partners. This is your best protection against suffering losses when the chips are down.

  • FCL (Full Container Load) – When you need to send a whole container with cargo.
  • LCL (Less Container Load) – packages. If you cannot fill a whole container this is the transport service for you where you order part of a container.

The goods must be packaged so that they are suitable for sea freight and meet the regulations in the respective countries. We know how!

Sea/Air is a combined solution with shorter transit times than regular sea freight and lower costs than regular air freight.
